I was approached by ‘Shaftes’ in Birkenhead to brighten up their entrance way and add a little personality and energy to match the many wonderful characters that work in and visit the club. Shaftes story begins back in 1886 and since then has been an outanding pillar of the community so I was honoured at the chance to work with such a great bunch of folks!
    The concepts and theme for the piece were developed during workshops held with the kids at the youth club, as part of their sessions. We discussed the great range of activities including sports, recreation, education and personal development that take place at Shaftes, then I developed these ideas into bold shapes and patterns that make up the design of this energetic piece.
