Understorey Heroes
Abstract/Botanical Illustration, Art PrintI was invited to exhibit at the ‘takayna. A journey’ group exhibition hosted by the Bob Brown Foundation, celebrating the beauty, hardship and hope of the Tarkine/takayna. I feel so honoured to have been involved and to have exhibited alongside such incredible artists.
My submission ‘Understorey Heroes’ is inspired by the biodiversity found under the canopy in takayna’s Gondwanan rainforests. Celebrating the array of textures and colours that can be found once you start looking a little closer.
These prints were available for sale alongside the other artworks on display at the Long Gallery in Hobart, Tasmania, with proceeds going directly to funding the battle to protect this precious and wild place.
