Lleisiau Lleol Podcast

Brand Design
ARFOR is a joint programme with the Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Gwynedd and Anglesey County Councils looking at using entrepreneurship and developing the economy to support the Welsh Language strongholds and by doing so, sustaining the language. Llwyddo’n Lleol 2050 is one of the ARFOR Programme's projects.
It was the team from Llwydo’n Lleol who contacted me about developing a brand and supporting design assets for a new project they were starting. This project was Lleisiau Lleol, a podcast to celebrate local success stories of people who live and work in rural areas of Wales. The podcast aims to start a conversation and highlight how very possible it is to live rurally and still be successful in your career. The host Ffion Emyr interviews guests with stories and experiences relevant to this topic.
The brief was to create a design that felt cool and contemporary, would appeal to a 17-45 year old audience and work across digital and print – from tiny podcast cover art to larger graphics for branding the set of the podcast (which was also to be filmed). I developed this fun logo and supporting  assets using illustrated stickers of welsh phrases that myself and the team at Llwyddo’n Lleol developed to support the concept of the podcast. I was then able to use these ‘stickers’ to create a variety of graphic outputs, including mugs, prompt cards and a large banner of the Podcast title for the set.
