takayna Moths video – Bob Brown Foundation
In this project for The Bob Brown Foundation I had the pleasure of illustrating some moths and a Tasmanian Pepperberry. Filmed and edited by Anna from the team this short video documents the recent discovery of 6 new moth species that were identified during a citizen science event in the heart of takayna, where volunteers joined Dr Peter McQuillian in the forest last December.
This story demonstrates just one of the many reasons takayna deserves full protection from the invasion and destruction of mining and forestry, how can such a globally significant ecosystem still be under threat. As ever it is an honour to work alongside these incredible scientists, activists and environmentalists.
