When Jenny approached me with the idea of painting the back of her house as a floral display I was vey excited. Botanicals are a true love of mine, so this was a lovely opportunity. The brief wasto create something bright but not over-bearing, using native British alpine flowers to design a beautiful display of mountain flora in this backyard in Sheffield. The flowers I chose to paint in this piece were the Globeflower/ Trollius europaeus, Oxeye Daisy/Leucanthemum vulgare, Mountain Avens/ Dryas octopetala and Purple Saxifrage/ Saxifraga oppositifolia.
